DevOps Engineer

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

As a Middle DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for the smooth operation of a VELA's software development infrastructure. You will work with developers to deploy and manage code changes, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly.

To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background.

RESPONSIBILITY

- Promote process automation where possible.

- Support the implementation of security measures and risk assessments.

- Manage incidents and root cause analysis.

- Participate in building, improving, and maintaining appropriate CI/CD tools and pipelines.

- Comply with VELA's software development standards.

- Ensure compliance with customer security and compliance requirements.

- Report technical risks and dependencies to project management.

EXPERIENCE

- College/University degree in IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent.

- Experience working in a DevOps or equivalent software engineering position.

- Good knowledge of .NET Core is an advantage.

- Experience with GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of configuring and managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB.

- Understanding of open-source tools and cloud services.

- Good troubleshooting skills.
