Database Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

a. Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role
b. Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views
c. Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in an appropriate format, and in a timely manner
d. Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
e. Minimise database downtime and managing parameters to provide fast query responses
f. Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
g. Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standards
h. Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity

Job Requirements:

a. Proven working experience as a Database administrator

b. Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
c. Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
d. Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
e. Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
f. Familiarity with programming languages API
g. Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
h. BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification

i. Experienced with MySQL, MariaDB, NoSQL (MongoDB and DynamoDB)

j. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance

k. At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
