Get to know the Role:

The team’s main goal is delivering high quality datasets to serve Machine learning models and generating useful information to improve the map. We combine geographical knowledge with database knowledge throughout our processes. The day-to-day activities:

●          Run statistics to review the progress of the project

●          Some data annotation activities

●          Find potential errors in the datasets using queries

●          Generate useful map data for other teams within Grab

●          Write and maintain technical documentation relevant to the project

●          Collaborate with other teams within our company and with other collaborators

●          Participate in planning and estimation of effort to implement, test and maintain features

●          The datasets generated are used by the ML team

●          The research done on certain signs is used by the MA team

The must haves:

●          Good computer skills

●          Experience with MS Office

●          Attention to detail

●          Fluency in English

●          Basic relational database skills ( prefered PostgreSQL)

●          Ability to analyse large datasets

●          Ability to write comprehensive reports

●          Fast learner and adaptable to changing environment

●          BS in Geography, Topography or related field.

●          Basic Experience with JOSM,  QGIS or other related GIS technologies

●          Knowledge of OpenstreetMap

●          Knowledge of mapping products/technologies
