About the Enterprise Data Architect Role:
The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing system and application architecture and associate standards, and for working with developers to ensure that all technology initiatives are implemented within the existing or planned framework.

We are looking for Data Architect to be part of a growing and data-driven team that provides best-of-breed data solutions to support the growing demands within our businesses.

This role requires skills in managing and governing the overall data architecture. Define the is-and-to-be architecture as part of the overall architecture vision, ensuring alignment with the business and strategies.

Some of the key responsibilities and requirements include:

• Define data architecture and platform for GTS to provide personalized experiences to Grabbers

• Engage with other data organizations in Grab and provide overall data governance and standards to GTS (e.g. ETL design pattern)

• Profile, design and model data to provide data product solutions using various options available across multiple data platforms
• Architect complex data sources that are transactional, non-transactional, structured, unstructured to create the consumption patters as per requirements
• Develop artifacts, collaterals, frameworks, and execution models to deliver data solutions on cloud platforms
• Investigative and problem solving, critical thinking, root-cause analysis, and business risk analysis skills preferred.
• Guide people, processes and organizational change including business, information, solutions, technical and security architecture
• Coordinate existing governance and alignment to framework implementation
• Provide architectural oversight and assurance services
• Ensure architecture quality standards are upheld
• Critically analyze the existing environment to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvements
• Formalize enterprise objectives and strategy in target and reference IT architectures and strategy papers
• Use expert insights, develop and evaluate key options to complex multi-layered problems relating to technology and the business
• Provide architectural advice and input for new business proposals including developing solution concept and identifying technology risks
  To succeed in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in strategic and operations planning, enterprise architecture and or business analysis.

The must haves:

• Solid experience in defining data solutions for data lakes, data warehouses, master/reference data
• A real passion for data, new data technologies, and discovering new and interesting solutions to the company’s data needs
• Excellent communication skills to communicate with various stakeholder to coordinate the development of data pipelines, and or any new features that can be built on top of the results of data analysis
• Hands-on in architecting ETL/ELT data pipelines in distributed environments. Experience with end-to-end orchestration and data pipelines. In-depth knowledge of streaming and batch integrations use cases for data processing on cloud platforms

• Build conceptual/logical/physical data models for analytics and operational data structures with best practices

• A clear understanding of data security protocols and enabling access controls. Demonstrated experience in handling sensitive, confidential information in large scale data systems
• Previous exposure to information management practice
• Tertiary qualifications in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or system analysis
• Experience facilitating and managing conflicting architecture requirements
• Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated track record of enterprise architecture design delivery, governance/assurance services and architecture strategic guidance
