Get to know the Role:
This is a regional role supporting all Grab markets in SEA, and across all verticals.  He/she will work with various internal teams to build and develop datasets required to enable complex lifecycle automations.  The ideal candidate will also act as an internal champion for all data pertaining to audience segmentation, and own the entire data exploration, build, transfer and setup process between Grab and the marketing platform.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Be our expert in using data to segment audiences, measure and analyse business performance in each of our markets and across lines of business.
  • Partner with marketing campaign managers, and analytics team to deep dive on core issues and use our data to find answers.
  • Script queries to define campaign audience.
  • Explore data, build and maintain ETL jobs for reporting/campaign data
  • Review and optimise SQL queries
  • Troubleshoot and resolve campaign issues involving data discrepancy/data pipeline failure
  • Build campaign performance dashboards
  • Define/refine processes to increase operational efficiency though Outlier detection techniques in different types of campaign scenarios
  • Monitor key metrics and alert the business on potential issues
  • Participate in in meetings to review logic of customer lifecycle journey
  • Adopt a cross-functional role to understand and provide suggestions from an analytical and operational perspective
  • Partner with lifecycle managers and data analytics to build best in class automations across all stages of a lifecycle


The must haves:

  • A Bachelor degree that requires deep-thinking and critical analysis
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in analysis/research role
  • Professionally proficient in English and in-country native language
  • Hands-on SQL scripting with strong foundation in data query/manipulation using SQL
  • Working knowledge of key Data Infra technology stacks as Spark, Airflow, Presto, AWS, Azure or similar technology
  • Data visualisation using tools like Tableau, or similar reporting tools
  • Professionalism, and experience working with various internal stakeholders & teams
  • Programming knowledge experience with Python, R or any statistical analysis/task automation is a plus
  • Understands and have prior experience or exposure to customer lifecycle marketing is a plus
