Grab’s lending business (GFSA – Grab Financial Services Asia) is a recent addition to Grab’s array of product and service offerings focused on extension of Micro credits to drivers, agents and merchants in Grab’s ecosystem. GFSA team is a combination of strong talent pool in its Regional Hub (Singapore) and deep local market operators across its focus markets. We are incredibly excited about the opportunity ahead of us. GFSA team is responsible for end to end conceptualisation, design, development, execution and ongoing management of all lending activities in its focus markets and segments.

Country Credit Risk Lead manages credit portfolio by developing, tracking and overseeing credit risk management policies & procedures and underwriting framework. The team member works closely with the Regional Risk team and country Business operations team to ensure risk objectives are met. The individual joining as Credit Lead will have the unique opportunity to rapidly grow professionally as the team embarks on this new journey across all aspects of the credit risk framework, from data integrity, to systems, reporting to compliance.

Responsibilities

Your role as Credit risk manager will be to work closely with clients to improve and transform the effectiveness and efficiency of their operations, customer experience. As a part of Financial Services Operations Team you should have:

  • Knowledge of the key strategic business drivers, regulatory constraints and operational process requirements across financial services
  • The ability to define a strategy, develop business cases and define the target operating model (organization design, customer experience, processes) In your role you will be delivering complex solutions which can include but are not limited to:
  • Front-to-back office operation business analysis and business processes review, redesign and optimization (E.g. Client Onboarding, KYC/AML)
  • Transformational change across a financial services organization (core banking solution implementation, technology / digital integration, cost optimization)
  • Establishment of Shared Services Centre and outsourcing function
  • Enabling technology / digital implementations like RPA, and FinTech related solutions
  • Work closely with the engagement team, manager and client representative to deliver the projects
  • Act as the daily contact point for the clients

Requirements

  • A recognized Degree qualification
  • Experience in operations excellence roles such as digital process optimization
  • At least 5 years and above of relevant experience
  • Experience working in Big 4 Consulting firms and/or Financial Services firms (Retail Banks, Corporate / Institutional Banks, Insurance, Asset Management, Capital Markets); experience in Operations and Project Management office would be advantageous
  • Prior project management and/or consulting experience is required
  • Good understanding of key Financial Services operations trends and FinTech (including but not limited to BlockChain, RPA, Machine Learning, IOT)
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
  • Track record of senior executive level engagement
  • A proven ability to translate client objectives into deliverable design, and develop deliverables that address complex situations
  • Strong MS Office skills: MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio
  • Strong presentation skills and group facilitation
  • Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to train and develop staff, manage project budgets and develop strong client relationships
  • Fluently at English
