Get to know the Role:

You will be responsible for the formulation and execution of the country marketing plan across Grab’s consumer businesses – transport, logistics, food delivery and payments. The Country Marketing Head is a leadership role, managing cross functional teams covering demand generation, PR, digital, social media, events, partnerships and market research.


The day-to-day activities:

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and planning: Responsible for designing marketing strategies independently that includes market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans in the manner that support consistent business growth and enhance brand equity.
  • Grow Grab platform users across transport, food, and deliveries: Provide innovative marketing strategy and direction to sustainably grow business and market share. Drive rapid growth in user, driver and merchant base for Grab’s O2O business through hyperlocal, disruptive, relevant and effective marketing efforts.
  • Grow Grab drivers: Support operations in building a healthy and strong driver supply growth through both driver acquisition (i.e. leads generation) and retention programs.​
  • Operationalize large-scale marketing ideas and plans with customer-first approach: Lead and guide development of Go-To-Market plan and channel strategy for all marketing campaigns, promotions and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive online and offline media strategy: Manage budgets, content strategy and relationships with key agencies (social, creative, PR) to develop inspiring output and evaluate performance.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns: Work with the digital marketing team (regional and local) to develop innovative, creative campaigns (on PPC, social media and mobile channels) and maximize optimization of these channels via analytics.​
  • Build brand love for Grab: Build Grab’s proposition as the everyday super app in the Philippines. Support this with a strong and clear value propositions and positioning for each of the product verticals of the Grab portfolio and ensure consistent and relevant messaging across all consumer touch points.
  • Shape social media/ public relations: Work with the regional Communications team to handle media requests, manage crisis, develop and implement social media marketing and CSR campaigns on ground. Proactively manage relationships with the media to create positive publicity on the business and engage the public to support Grab.
  • Manage country marketing budget and business targets: Manage the local country marketing budget and own quarterly KPIs for both campaigns and business results​
  • Inspire and lead a team: Provide leadership guidance and deliver exceptionally high quality marketing. Develop a cohesive customer-first country marketing team. Inculcate a data-driven and positive work culture; and guide each team member through their personal growth, skills development and career progression with Grab.
  • Stakeholder management: Manage and prioritize marketing activities with close collaboration across multi-business vertical teams both locally and regionally.





The must haves:

  • Bachelor degree preferably with a focus on Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations and/or Business Administration
  • Familiar with the entire marketing mix – you have a good knowledge of how and when to leverage different marketing channels from above-the-line to direct response and brand activation.
  • At least 10-15 years of relevant marketing experience, both on strategic planning and execution. Strong preference for experience with Internet, mobile and/or digital products.
  • Experience in portfolio management and handling a team (>10) is a definite plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of the local market, deep understanding of consumer insights and media landscape.
  • Results oriented and data driven: Ability to make data-informed decisions for marketing plan. Proven track record of success in achieving targets on time in a rapid growth, start-up environment.
  • Relentlessly driven and seeks challenges: Willingness to drive growth and able to embrace and tackle challenges
  • A natural leader who has the ability to motivate and coach a team of diverse team members with different experience levels and skill sets
  • Resourceful and creative: Knack for identifying great marketing creative. You work well with creative people, knowing how they need to be briefed and managed in order to deliver the most impactful creative work.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English & Tagalog.
  • Highly detail-oriented: Ensure the quality of all marketing materials and communications; and manage budget
  • Start-up experience is a bonus: pace of change is both refreshing and terrifying. Whatever your background you will need to be ready to operate start-up style.
