The Communications team is responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and online influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.
The Communications team is a strategic partner and solution provider to the multiple business functions in Grab – to help them drive their business objectives. The team ensures that internal and external stakeholders understand and support Grab’s vision and business strategy, including corporate partnerships, new products, partner programmes, marketing campaigns and internal programmes.

Responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.
This role also seeks to help stakeholders, including press, policy makers and public, understand Grab’s policies, products and its mission.
The day-to-day activities:
Provide communications counsel and lead communications activities for Grab’s most pressing public policy issues in Vietnam that are in line with company’s vision and business objectives
Create sustainable programmes that help educate key stakeholders, including press, policy makers and public on Grab’s mission for Vietnam and Southeast Asia
Work with Grab’s government relations, legal, product and partnership teams to build, understand and communicate corporate and product policies that enhance and protect our reputation
Build creative partnerships with public and private organisations
Develop network of third-party advocates and drive sustained programmes to leverage third-party credibility for communications
Serve as an effective filter for the various business units in helping to determine the credibility, defensibility and news value of Grab messages
Proactively promote stories and other publicity opportunities that are advantageous to Grab
Build and maintain strong working relationships with the most influential regional and local media in Vietnam
Create content such as press releases, thought leadership articles, messaging, executive media briefings and speeches for executives
Field and prioritise media requests and engagements
Organise and oversee media events
Effectively manage the response to incidents, issues or crisis situations, and manage programmes to mitigate negative impact of incidents affecting Grab
Analyse metrics to determine the output and value of PR results and use the data as a critical planning tool
Drive regular planning and reporting meetings with key stakeholders
Requirement:
12+ years of communications or related experience in high-profile corporate reputation management, crisis communications or issues management
Proven track record managing complex communications
Experience distilling complex policy or technology concepts for layman understanding
Strong media relationships with a diverse range of editors, reporters, bloggers and thought leaders
Experience managing diverse cross-functional stakeholder relations in fast-paced and changing environments
Strong writing and story-telling skills
Good-to-have: social media, integrated marketing communications
Excellent command of English (written and spoken), native Vietnamese
