Role objective

  • The Content & Strategic Planner plays a hybrid role that combines strategic thinking with content planning and creative coordination. This position is responsible for shaping the strategic foundation of campaigns, uncovering insights, crafting communication directions, and turning them into actionable content plans across multiple platforms (digital, social, KOL, PR, offline…).

Key responsibilities

A. Strategic Planning

  • Analyze client briefs to identify business problems, communication opportunities, and strategic directions.
  • Develop IMC strategies including: Big idea, communication strategy, brand messaging, consumer journey, and channel approach.
  • Conduct market, cultural, audience & competitor research to extract powerful insights.
  • Build personas, tension points, and opportunity territories for creative solutions.

B. Content Planning

  • Develop content strategies aligned with campaign ideas and strategic direction.
  • Build content frameworks: message house, storylines, content pillars, content calendar.
  • Propose content angles, storytelling directions, and platform-specific approaches (Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, KOL…).
  • Work with KOL team to develop content guidelines, talking points, and creative direction for influencer content.
  • Review all content outputs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and strong brand voice.

C. Creative & Cross-team Collaboration

  • Write and deliver inspiring creative briefs for internal teams (copywriter, designer, production).
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to ensure creative ideas are insight-driven and strategically aligned.
  • Coordinate with media planners to ensure content is optimized for formats & placements.
  • Evaluate creative concepts & executions for strategic alignment pre-delivery.

D. Client Engagement

  • Prepare and present strategy decks, content plans, and creative directions to clients.
  • Join client meetings to clarify objectives, propose solutions, and refine strategies.
  • Support account team during campaign execution to ensure consistency with strategic direction.

E. Campaign Evaluation

  • Build KPI frameworks aligned with communication goals.
  • Review campaign performance reports, identify learnings, and propose next-step recommendations.

Job requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in strategic planning, content planning, or digital/social planning at an agency.
  • Strong understanding of digital landscape, social platforms, KOL ecosystem, consumer behavior & culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn insights into creative and content strategies.
  • Experience with IMC campaigns is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical & insight-mining skills.
  • Excellent content thinking, storytelling, and message architecture skills.
  • Solid briefing & creative evaluation abilities.
  • Confidence in presentation and client communication (Vietnamese & English).
  • Strong teamwork and coordination across strategy, creative, media, and KOL channels.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and manage multiple tasks.
