Get to know the Role:
The Consumer Program Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing strong business relationships with existing and potential key partners for PayLater merchant acquisition to drive the growth of Grab Finance's consumer financing business. He/she will be building valuable and long-lasting partnerships with key merchants, POS players, and procurement platforms, among others, and will be exposed to business elements such as program development, lead generation, creative and data-based negotiations, account management, and other strategic sales-based initiatives.
The day-to-day activities:
- Strategize on consumer program and merchant partnership model and content, using internal and external data and best practices from other markets / industry players- Plan out priority programs and partners to pursue, in line with overall Grab Finance program / partnership strategies
- Engage prioritized merchant and other partners for discussion, structuring, negotiation, and acquisition
- Work closely with regional product, marketing, and commercial teams as well as local departments to plan for and execute programs and partnership deals
- Engage other working teams for program execution, fully owning programs and partnerships from conceptualization to implementation and post-evaluation
The must haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field (preferably in business, management or marketing)
- With experience in merchant acquiring and/or relationship management, preferably from a banking, financing, or credit card institution- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Skills in Microsoft Office (or similar software) are required
- A highly independent individual with excellent cross-functional team-building and management skills
- Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to be able to develop and execute programs and partnerships
- Energetic, enthusiastic and calm even in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Excellent time management and communication skills with evident leadership qualities
