Get to know our Team:

  • The Communications team is responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and online influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.

  • The Communications team is a strategic partner and solution provider to the multiple business functions in Grab – to help them drive their business objectives. The team ensures that internal and external stakeholders understand and support Grab’s vision and business strategy, including corporate partnerships, new products, partner programmes, marketing campaigns and internal programmes.


Get to know the Role:

  • Responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.

  • This role also seeks to help stakeholders, including press, policy makers and public, understand Grab’s policies, products and its mission.


The day-to-day activities:

  • Lead overall communications strategy and planning in Grab Vietnam that are in line with company’s vision and business objectives

  • Provide communications counsel to senior management and drive thought leadership for spokespeople through interviews,  speaking opportunities, etc

  • Create high impact media stories and programmes that help educate key stakeholders, including press, policy makers and public on Grab’s mission for Vietnam

  • Develop a strong network of media and third-party advocates in Vietnam

  • Build overall narrative for Grab in Vietnam and ensure resonance with all spokespeople in Vietnam

  • Anticipate in advance, and manage response to incidents, issues or crisis situations and put in place processes to mitigate negative impact of incidents affecting Grab

  • Analyse metrics to determine the output and value of PR results and use the data as a critical communications planning tool

  • Drive regular strategy planning and reporting meetings with key stakeholders 

  • Serve as an effective filter for the various business units in helping to determine the credibility, defensibility and news value of Grab messages

The must haves:

  • 12+ years of communications or related experience in high-profile corporate reputation management, public affairs, crisis communications or issues management

  • Proven track record managing complex communications

  • Possess strong existing media relationships with a diverse range of editors, reporters, bloggers and thought leaders

  • Experience managing diverse cross-functional stakeholder relations in fast-paced and changing environments

  • Strong writing and story-telling skills

  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken), native Vietnamese

  • Technology sector experience preferred

  • Experience working in a regional or global team

  • Experience working in a fast-growth company 

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams including government relations, legal, product and partnership teams

  • Good-to-have: social media, integrated marketing communications
