Commercial Operations Associate

Get to know our Team

• This team oversees 4W and 2W commercial operations and P&L management, including pricing and marketplace (e.g., incentives, service assurance)
• Tech and Operations (payouts, PMO, tech solutions)
• They are hardcore data folks and has good experience with operations and interest in market insights.​

Get to know the Role:

• Project Management: Can drive different projects to explore business issues/opportunities, uncover insights and/or identify targeted areas for business growth
• Stakeholder Management: Able to communicate upwards and across different departments and to provide direction when needed
• Data Analysis: Look at w-o-w trends and spot growth gaps. Deep dive on core issues and use our data to find answers. Know how to budget and forecast.
• Business Management: Will co-own the overall supply operations of GrabExpress, GrabAssistant and GrabFood - allocating, incentivizing, and optimizing the whole 2W driver pool. Create new ways to improve driver behavior and performance​

The day-to-day activities:

• Data analysis and translation to business strategies
• Business development​​
• Need to be able to work with diverse business stakeholders
• Liaising with other groups in the business
• Go on the ground to understand how customers (PAX and DAX) experience Grab’s services and brings back insights to the team
• Business performance tracking
• Budget tracking
• Business initiative financial modeling​

The must haves:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Good business acumen and burning curiosity about data
• Quick learning agility and a strong sense of ownership
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to create business cases and models on special projects geared for business growth
• Adept at financial forecasting, budgeting, and pricing cause-and-effect simulation
• Experience working at/building a startup business preferred
• Preferably one year of experience in business development, strategy, or operations management
• Preferably one year of experience in project management
• Economics, statistics, or business background would be a plus
• This is a hands-on role – need to be willing to roll up sleeves

• Effective communicator
