Commercial Lead/Manager, GrabExpress Malaysia

GrabExpress is an on-demand parcel delivery service that enables users to send items such as documents, parcels, and gifts to their business partners, family and friends. The GrabExpress team in Malaysia is fairly new. As with any new business, we work in a fast-paced and sometimes unstructured environment to make things happen, and are looking for individuals with an entrepreneurial and hands-on spirit to join us.

The day-to-day activities:

• Formulate the GrabExpress commercial strategy, targeting both partners and individual sellers, in line with overall business strategy.
• Engage potential partners and sellers for discussion, structuring and negotiation.
• Strategise partnership model, commercial terms and operating model – together with product, operations and marketing teams.
• Account manage partners on the GrabExpress platform to ensure high level of satisfaction as well as upselling to increase wallet share contribution.
• Collaborate with other teams within Grab (both business and functional teams) for cross-department partnerships.
• Develop analysis and regular reporting on performance and contribute ideas and solutions for growth.

The must haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field (preferably in business, management or marketing)

• Prior experience in business development/commercial/partnership-related roles

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to present and engage with senior management

• Ability to connect and engage with individual sellers

• Ability to use and interpret data to make strategic decisions

• Experience in working with multiple teams, including marketing, ops, product

• Experience in a start-up /entrepreneurial environment is a plus

• Proficient in Power Point, Excel

• 5-8 years’ working experience
