Your role as Commercial Lead will be to work closely with the regional commercial team to deliver our key services i.e. digital lending to clients in Indonesia, as well as grow our local credit risk, operations, and collections team. Additionally, you will be responsible for engagement with key external stakeholders in Indonesia.

Grab's lending business (GFSA – Grab Financial Services Asia) is a recent addition to Grab’s array of product and service offerings focused on extension of Micro credit to drivers, agents and merchants in Grab’s ecosystem. GFSA team is a combination of strong talent pool in its Regional Hub (Singapore) and deep local market operators across its focus markets.

GFSA team is responsible for end to end conceptualisation, design, development, execution and ongoing management of all lending activities in its focus markets and segments.

Get to know your role:

You will have overall responsibility for building out and ongoing management of GFSA’s (GrabFinancial Services Asia – Grab’s lending business) business in Indonesia. As a senior member of the GFSA team, your role will combine a number of aspects ranging across in-country strategy development, commercial opportunity and partnership development, marketing and sales of lending solutions, development of in country GFSA team and ongoing management of the GFSA Indonesia business.

Responsibilities:

  • Adapt, develop and detail GFSA’s regional strategy to Indonesia market, competitive and regulatory context

  • Lead end to end execution of all GFSA product and customer initiatives and programs in Indonesia

  • Be responsible for GFSA’s overall financial performance in Indonesia

  • Lead local business development and partnership engagements

  • Provide strategic and operational updates and insights on local market

    performance to regional leadership and management

  • Act as the local lead regulatory liaison; establishing, developing and

    managing positive ongoing regulatory relationships

  • Build, develop and lead cross-functional team to run day to day operations

  • Effectively collaborate with the rest of the GFSA, GrabFinancial and Grab peers and functional leads in Indonesia and other markets

Must haves:

  • Around 8 years of experience across consumer credit, broader Retail / SME financial services and other business leadership roles within financial services

  • Significant experience and senior professional network in Indonesia in financial services sector

  • Strong track record of delivery of tangible business results across previous roles

  • Experience in high performance team build out, development and management

  • Breadth of functional experience across – strategy development, strategic project management, cross-functional operational implementation of new initiatives and ongoing business management

  • Intelligent, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.

  • High levels of adaptability, comfortable with ambiguity and working in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex &; Ambiguous) environment

  • Solid spoken and written communication skills
