City Manager, GrabWheels

Get to know the Role:

GrabWheels is Grab’s Personal Mobility Device business. We aim to provide a portfolio of safe, affordable and accessible personal mobility solutions to power smart and sustainable cities.

As the Jakarta Head, you will be responsible for building and scaling Grab’s Personal Mobility Device business across the city.

A key member of the GrabWheels leadership team, you will define the Jakarta strategy, supervise operations and manage the overall P&L. You will oversee every business function - managing teams across operations, product, strategy, marketing and partnerships - and liaise with other Grab teams to drive the GrabWheels strategic agenda in Jakarta.

The day-to-day activities (non-exhaustive):

• Define and execute a growth strategy for the business, managing the Jakarta P&L, with accountability for all in-country spending

• Establish processes / metrics / standards for excellence and drive the team towards operational excellence

• Hustle and problem solve in the face of ambiguity; prioritise and re-prioritize quickly and effectively

• Coordinate strategy and operations with other Grab verticals to drive agenda forward as “One Grab”

• Represent GrabWheels within our ecosystem of users, partners, local vendors and government agencies.

• ​Recruit, groom and mentor local talent

The must haves:

• At least 10 years of work experience, 5 of which have involved leading a team

• Relentless, detail-oriented and takes full ownership of budget and meeting targets

• Excellent stakeholder management / communication (both written and verbal) skills

• Comfortable with ambiguity, hands-on; MUST be willing to lead by example.

• Execution-focused; ability to work well in a fast paced, start-up environment.

• Strong knowledge of the local (Jakarta/Indonesia) market

• Passion for micro mobility
