- The business development team in Grab Malaysia is responsible for building up portfolio of long term partners that bring value to Grab’s passengers and driver partners.

Get to know the Role:
- Responsible for securing and managing strategic partners to further improve and strengthen develop Grab’s value proposition in the market place.
- These responsibilities secure strategic competitive advantage for Grab, leveraging the joint strength of Grab and partners.
- Should have extensive experience (minimum 6-7 years’ experience) in a BD partnership role with exposure in Strategy, Sales and Project Management. Experience dealing with government, government linked companies, major and international brands, transport hubs and retail malls is a must with access to key contacts already established (i.e. to C-suite contacts).
- Of great importance is experience in structuring collaboration terms, securing deals and collaboration campaign planning.
- Note that due to fast-paced nature of industry, candidate needs to show strong adaptability and intellectual rigor in pursuing new ideas for Grab.
- Experience in management consulting and advisory firms is a bonus.
The day-to-day activities:
- You be responsible for Building partnerships with key entities from government, conglomerates and enterprises.
- Developing strategic long-term collaborations between Grab service offering with leading brands in retail, F&B and services.
- Implement, execute and monitor key projects under the Business Development team.
- Functional - Plan out priority partners to pursue, in line with overall country strategy.
- Strategize on partnership model and content, with help of internal data.
- Engage prioritized partners for discussion, structuring and negotiation.
- People - Work closely with internal product team and marketing operations team to execute deals
- Assist team members periodically with introductions or brain storms.
- Customer - Partnership counterparts in government, GLCs and key industry players.
- Partnership counterparts in top retail malls & hypermarket chain.
- Partnership counterparts in leading brands in F&B, retail and services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant field
- At least 2-4 years of experience in Project Management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
