The day-to-day activities:
- Assist and lead data analysis projects for the country team; identifying issues, segmenting and profiling users, gathering market information, analysing data, and interpreting patterns and trends with the purpose of generating insights to inform both critical strategic direction and daily operational decisions alike.
- Understand key business priorities, identify relevant core issues and assess new revenue opportunities
- Build strong relationships with management; translate data speak to human speak in order to propose solutions to business stakeholders
- Collaborate with various teams across the Payments and broader Grab organization
- Communicate with and influence stakeholders; synthesize financial analysis for presentation to senior management
- Conceptualize, build and maintain financial models for the GrabPay business
- Conceptualize and build ad hoc models to answer specific questions
- Work with the Finance organization on tracking and analyzing financial performance
- Work with the team to identify and track key operational metrics
The must haves:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance or business-related fields
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills a prerequisite
- Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
- 2-3 years of experience in forecasting, data analysis or similar role
- Results and detail-oriented, with strong intuitions on how to solve problems creatively and quickly
