Responsibilities:
- Build high performance, scalable backend APIs
- Work with CDN to improve our current video streaming feature
- Collaborate with other engineers, UX designers, QC and Product Managers to deliver high quality, seamless shopping experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years industry experience in backend, architecture development (Java, PHP, Python, Mysql, Nosql, Redis…)
- Experience working in our stack (PHP, nodejs) is a plus, but not required.
- Experience in building video streaming system is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of latest trends in software engineering best practices - code reviews, code quality, CI/CD, monitoring, multithreading and memory management
- Deep customer focus: you care deeply about the product experience, you understand users’ motivations and frustrations
