The Singapore Operations team oversees, shapes and grows the business in Grab Singapore. We contribute towards Grab’s vision of being Southeast Asia’s superapp by providing everyday services that matter most to consumers in Singapore. We develop and execute business strategies that help us achieve our vision in serving our community.

As part of the Singapore Operations team, the GrabFood team looks at connecting Singapore eaters and customers to the vast array of merchants (from the familiar favorites to the up and coming stars) within our sunny island-home of Singapore, through our many delivery-partners.

Get to know the Role:

  • The role is a strategic and impact-focused role within the GrabFood Merchant team; focusing on planning and execution of strategic projects with our F&B merchants

  • Opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders in Singapore, both internally and externally

  • Minimal travel required (<5%)

The day-to-day activities:

  • Work on and guide the overall merchant strategy, such as merchant selection, segmentation, campaign strategy, etc. 

  • Lead planning of projects and partnerships that impact our merchants and drive business OKRs

  • Identify areas for improvements and optimise business processes to maximise efficiency and productivity

  • Conduct data analysis and business modelling to facilitate data-driven decision making 

  • Work closely with teams within Grab (e.g. marketing, product) to deliver outcomes

The must haves:

  • Strong academic track record

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, think logically and execute projects

  • Experience with hands-on engagement, strong interpersonal / influencing skills

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including PowerPoint presentations

  • Strong quantitative ability, including financial / business modelling

  • Can do attitude - self-driven and highly motivated individual who can work well in a startup VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment. Highly adaptable across situations / topics / industries

The good to haves:

  • At least 5-6 years of work experience

  • Experience in fast paced sectors such as management consulting, technology, digital media and / or high growth startups driving transformational growth

  • Experience in the F&B industry and/or e-commerce merchant ecosystem

  • Experience in engaging across Asian markets and cultures

  • Prior experience in entrepreneurship or P&L management
