The Singapore Operations team oversees, shapes and grows the business in Grab Singapore. We contribute towards Grab’s vision of being Southeast Asia’s superapp by providing everyday services that matter most to consumers in Singapore. We develop and execute business strategies that help us achieve our vision in serving out community
As part of the Singapore Operations team, the roles sits within the Strategy team. The Strategy team works on top agenda, high impact projects in Singapore. Projects span across all the business lines in Singapore (e.g. Transport, Food & Payments)
Get to know the Role:
Lead studies for top of agenda, high impact strategic topics, as part of the overall Singapore Country Strategy (>50%)
Direct contact with senior executives in the organization – both local & regional teams
Occasionally lead or deliver day-to-day execution of high impact initiatives
Occasionally support strategic partnership discussions with external partners, which could include some due diligence work (<10%)
Minimal travel required (<5%)
The day-to-day activities:
Be a sounding board for the strategic decisions of senior management staff including Country Head and Vertical Heads
Ensure a well-coordinated Country Strategy for Singapore, by coordinating with other Grab teams (both local & regional) and facilitating cross-team collaboration
Support planning & analysis of high impact strategic initiatives: e.g. providing a fact base, structuring and helping with issue identification and solutioning, advising on the practicalities of implementation
Support strategic discussions with external partners
The must haves:
Strong academic track record
Strong background in strategic thinking & demonstrated ability to problem solve
Experience with hands-on engagement, strong interpersonal / influencing skills
Highly adaptable across situations / topics / industries
Convincing executive presence, solid spoken and written communication skills
Experience in managing and guiding a project team
The good to haves:
At least 2 - 3 years’ experience at top-tier strategy or management consultancy firm
Experience in engaging across Asian markets and cultures
