Scope of Position

• The Assistant Golf Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Golf and the Golf Operations Manager in managing all golf operation related activities including bag drop, cart operations, marshal, staging/starter, practice facilities, tournaments and events.
• The Assistant Golf Operations Manager is also ensure the level of service and operating standards offered are in line with Hoiana Shores Golf Clubs positioning and operating strategy.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of each area of the golf operations including: bag drop, staging, marshalling and Driving Range areas.
• Attend all staff, management, golf committee tournament and other applicable meetings.
• Develop, implement and monitor operating policies and procedures for each area of the golf operations aimed at delivering the standard of service and operations expected.
• Effectively manage the golf operations ensuring the revenue and expenditure targets set in the operating budget are achieved, cooperate with the course Superintendent about maintenance issues affecting the golf course playability.
• Manage all expenses for golf service and their team ensuring that expenses stay within the budgeted amount.
• Monitor and check the operation of golf carts, inform the Management Board and Maintenance Department to provide solutions and maintenance of the carts in accordance with the process.
• Check the operation on course such as grass cutting, bunker rake, hazardous posts, roller speed and other abnormal changes to notify the Maintenance Department and Management Board for better solutions.
• Update the current course conditions and alert players of any maintenance or course construction work in progress. This includes, but is not limited to, top dressing, verti-cutting, chemical applications, fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides or drainage repairs.
• It is the responsibility of the Assistant Golf Operations Manager to contact the Director of Golf and/or the Golf Operations Manager daily to discuss conditions on the course.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow on course.
• Assist the Director of Golf and the Golf Operations Manager in establishing rules and regulations for Hoiana Shores Golf Club, customer care policies, etc.
• Handle customer inquiries or complaining on golf course such as golf rules, golf etiquettes, Club rules and regulations, etc.
• Ensure efficient and professional operation of the driving range and practice facilities at all times.
• Recruit, train and develop golf operations personnel.
• Develop effective training strategies and session plans to ensure all golf operations areas provide the level of service and operating standards expected.
• Ensure all financial and human resource policies and procedures are implemented and followed by golf operations personnel.
• Responsibility of consolidate detailed reporting data in a daily, monthly and annual basis submitting to the Director of Golf as required.
• Implement effective tee time management procedures to ensure availability is optimized.
• Implement and maintain a speed of play guideline on the course.
• Participate in the development of the annual business plan, operating budget and sales and marketing plan for the Golf Club.
• Monitor inventory levels reordering as appropriate to ensure sufficient stock is available at all time.
• Responsibilities to do scoring for tournament in correct result.
• Consolidate with the Director of Golf and the Golf Operations Manager to develop the annual calendar of tournaments and events for Hoiana Shores Golf Club.
• Represent Hoiana Shores Golf Club at golf events, tournaments, exhibitions and meetings as required.

Other Duties:

• Comply with all standards of performance, behaviour and operational policies and procedures in place at Hoiana Shores Golf Club at all times.
• Participate in appropriated internal and external activities to enhance prestige of the Company.
• Perform other relevant duties as directed by the Director of Golf and the Golf Operations Manager.
