Grab for Business is the B2B team within Grab that helps to simplify business transportation and related services for companies across Southeast Asia. We are also expanding our portfolio of platform solutions to cover Ads & Media products (Outdoor, In-Car, In-app, new business etc.), to cater to the needs of media agencies and brand advertisers in Southeast Asia. To this end, we are looking for a strong Ads & Media Sales Executive in our Grab for Business Vietnam team to acquire and manage top customers across the media landscape.

To perform this role well candidate needs to have strong sales skills, communication capabilities, attention to detail, ability to create and follow processes, and a track record of exceeding expectations.






Get to know the Role:

  • You will report to the Sales Manager, Grab for Business Vietnam
  • Strategic Selling: Be at the forefront of driving sales and awareness of Grab’s Ads & Media solutions. Represent Grab to manage all aspects of the sales process for all media agencies, direct advertisers, media strategists and planners including prospecting, managing and closing sales opportunities (across multiple ads products). Provide effective live product demonstrations and adopt a consultative sales approach to drive adoption, usage and campaign budget spend across all major media buyers in your market.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong and long-lasting relationships with our customers through long term planning, handling objections, asking the right questions and understanding their pain points while resolving them. Establish a solid understanding of Grab’s Ads & Media solutions to service your customers better and align with their campaign and media objectives. Build and maintain healthy cross-functional relationships within the wider Grab organisation for the smooth functioning of the business.
  • Media Solutions: Understand the media landscape, B2C marketing process and how Grab’s Ads & Media solutions will fulfill campaign marketing objectives. Ensure Grab’s Ads & Media solutions are an always-on part of all integrated marketing plans and campaigns (both ATL and BTL). Understand and influence the decision making processes within large brand advertisers’ marketing teams, media agencies, media strategy and planning teams. Direct connections to influencers and decision makers across media agencies and large brand advertisers will be an advantage in serving as a trusted advisor to top level executives.
  • Team Collaboration | Communication: Work closely with your manager and other stakeholders to forecast revenue activity, pipeline building strategies and revenue tracking in our CRM systems. Work with product teams on providing effective customer feedback, facilitate new launches and introduce new products to interested customers. Be extremely organized, and bring a high level of attention to detail and efficiency while working under tight deadlines and on multiple initiatives simultaneously. Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff. Keep track of the media landscape, competition for our core Ads & Media products and changes in media buying & consumption.





The must haves:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Work Experience: Minimum of 4-8 years in sales and / or account management, either as a media buyer or a media seller. Experience in consultative selling to media agencies and large brand advertisers’ marketing teams in your market is a plus. Demonstrated ability to see marketing campaign pitches & deals through the full sales cycle; from building a robust pipeline of sales leads, managing influencers and decision makers, winning media budgets, campaign management & reporting to ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Candidates should have an understanding of the media landscape in Vietnam, the major players and an ability quickly learn and ramp up on new online & offline media solutions (Outdoor, Experiential, Adtech based etc.)

  • A suitable candidate will have an impressive track record in meeting and even exceeding media sales targets. Having a well-established network within the media industry in the Vietnam will be a boost to ramping up fast.

  • Excellent people skills and experience establishing, maintaining and leveraging on relationships and professional networks (inside and outside Grab) to strategically position, pitch and enable adoption of Grab’s Ads & Media solutions for key customers.

  • Communication: Strong and effective communicator with good verbal, presentation and written skills who can verbally and visually articulate their point of view clearly and succinctly.

  • Ambitious, self-driven and highly motivated individual who can work well in a startup VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment. Should have a deep desire to excel and develop a career in a high growth tech company. Should have demonstrated integrity and respect in the performance of their duties.

  • Proficiency in customer experience tools (CRM tools, reporting dashboards)

  • Good computer skills and comfortable with data analysis (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs / Sheets / Slides)
