4W Marketplace is the team in charge of overall operational strategy for transport through data analytics, project management and problem solving
The team specifically works in strategy, ideation and execution related to programs and projects that help pricing, incentives, platform reliability, driver supply, and passenger demand
The team may also be deployed to different business critical roles to run special initiatives
As Grab PH expands its organization to become the Everyday, Everything App, the team needs talented people with great problem-solving skills, and a good balance of analytic and speed to market mindset
To be able to perform the role well, the candidate must be great at stakeholder and project management, and must be willing to fail fast and learn fast
About the role:
Ability to manage people and stakeholders to enable the team to deliver against metrics
Ability to exercise critical and strategic thinking to solve difficult problems and optimize against various tradeoffs
Breadth of competency across various fields like data analytics, communications, and project management to conceptualize and achieve high-impact initiatives, whether short- or long-term
Comfort and skill in presenting complex subjects clearly and coherently to both colleagues and customers
Familiarity with data tools/programs such as SQL, Excel, and Tableau Software. Experience with R or Python is a plus
The day-to-day activities:
Run reports and perform analytics on different metrics
Data analytics on operational processes and behavioral metrics to identify key areas for improvements that will create the most value to the user experience of the platform for both drivers and riders.
Create and implement programs to drive key metrics
Conduct marketplace experiments, analyze data, and generate insights to be presented in a meaningful and business digestible manner
Mentor, train and manage the careers of direct reports ( if any)
Collaborate with different members of the project team and other stakeholders
Go on the ground to understand how customers (passenger and driver) experience the platform
Take actions towards both drivers and riders to maintain a fair and balanced platform
Budget and forecast based on historical data
The must haves:
2 – 4 years of experience in related field
Good business acumen and burning curiosity about data
Quick learning agility and strong sense of ownership
Ability to create business cases and models on special projects geared for business growth
Primarily driven by quantitative outcome for all decision making
Effective communicator, collaborator and team player
Ability to consistently perform comfortably under pressure in a dynamic, ultra-fast paced environment
Preferably 1 year of experience in people management
Preferably 1 year of experience in project management
Must be comfortable with analyzing data using spreadsheets i.e. MS Excel
Knowledge of SQL or Python is an advantage
Related fields of experience include: Operations, Project Management, Finance, Data Analytics, etc.
